 Formed in 1976, the Standards Publishing Advisory Board (SPAB) is comprised of standards development organizations, national standards bodies, industry leaders, and Accuris. Each year, the advisory board organizes a meeting to discuss matters impacting standards development, publishing, and distribution. 

 The International Federation of Standards Users is an independent, non profit-making international association of national organizations for the application of standards, companies, professional and trade associations, and governmental agencies, concerned with the use of standards.
